Paparazzi Free Private Island

By Islomaniac | February 9, 2007

I am all for seeing pictures of beautiful models in their bikinis. However, a girl needs her privacy and that should be respected. Therefore I was glad to read that super model Elle Macpherson’s complaint that hello magazine violated her privacy while on vacation on a private island was upheld with the press complaints commission in Britain.

The Press Complaints Commission in Britain has upheld fashion model Elle Macpherson’s complaint that Hello! magazine violated her privacy by publishing pictures of her with her children on a private beach.

The commission, a voluntary watchdog group formed by British publishers, decided that Macpherson had a reasonable expectation of privacy because the pictures were taken while the family was holidaying on Mustique, a private island in the Caribbean. The photographs were published on August 29.

The commission’s ruling, issued on January 29, said the magazine’s editor had offered to write an apology to Macpherson, and said Hello! would not use the pictures again.
