Next to the Bahamas ‘The World,’ Dubai is a top destination for celebrities buying private islands. Although it’s easy to find lists of celebrities who own private islands it’s a little more difficult to find a list of celebrities who have purchased or are rumored to have purchased islands in The World. Most of these are rumors, but there is some truth behind every rumor. Although this doesn’t seem like a very long list, considering this is just one small region in a rather remote part of the world, and considering the project isn’t even completed yet I would argue that “The World” is going to be a new private island hot spot for celebrities.
