Islands on Mars
By Islomaniac | August 2, 2007
What you are looking at below is an image taken from space showing streamlined islands on mars. Streamlined islands are also found on earth. In Eastern Washington state you can find areas where giant floods ripped apart the landscape during the last ice age. It appears that these islands were formed through some sort of similar process. They aren’t technically islands since they are not surrounded by water, but perhaps at one time they were, and who knows maybe in the future they will again. Either way it’s a very interesting picture that peaks ones imagination, creating images of vacationing on a Martian Island.
