World’s Tallest Hotel Located on Private Island

The Burj al-Arab in Dubai is a luxurious hotel located in Dubai and built on top of a private man-made island. The hotel stands a massive 1,053 (321) feet high making it the tallest building used exclusively as a hotel.

The artificial island on which the hotel rests is 919 feet from Jumeriah beach and is connected to the mainland by a large curving bridge. The structure of the hotel is meant to resemble the sail of a boat. The hotel contains only suites and they are among the finest in the world.
