Forbes Lists the Most Expensive Islands in the World

By Islomaniac | October 21, 2007

Ronde IslandFor those of you who don’t know, every year for the last several years Forbes has come out with a list of the world’s most expensive private islands. This years most expensive island is none other than Ronde Island which I featured a while back. This $100 million dollar island, listed exclusively through Private Islands Online is almost 2,000 acres in size.

Other islands on the list of the worlds most expensive private islands include Great Hans and Little Hans Lollik the $45 million dollar bahemian paradise and Charles Island a $39 million dollar paradise near Eleuthera.

The Forbes article features Chris Krolow, CEO of Private Islands Online who notes that unlike any other type of real estate, private islands fulfill the fantasy we all have of ruling over our own little kingdom,” “Nothing compares to the prestige of island ownership, and there’s just an allure that surrounds the idea.”Hans Lollik

I found this years list especially thorough and complete. Forbes made the wise decision this year to feature promonate private island real estate firms Private Islands Online and Vladi Private Islands. In the past Forbes has made the mistake of featuring infamous scam artist Cheyenne Morrison, who attempts to sell islands in a vain attempt to appease his own grandiose delusions of importance. Fortunately this mistake was not made this year with the article featuring only legitimate and reputable islands firms.
