Cruise lines such as Disney and Norwegian have begun purchasing private islands and using them as exclusive ports of call for their passengers. The Dallas News recently came out with their list of the best private islands currently being visited by cruise ships. There list includes the famous Castaway Cay which is visited by the thousands a families traveling on Disney Cruise Lines. Also on the list is the 225 acre Great Stirrup Caye which is visited by Norwegian Cruise Lines and features two bars for cruise ship private islandsits pampered guests. The little known island of Labadee (actually it’s a peninsula) is visited by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. The island (peninsula) is located in a secluded wooded area in Haiti and features a 3,000 foot long zip line for guests to enjoy. Rounding out the list is Half-Moon Cay, Princess Cays, and Coco Cay.
