A week or so ago I posted about Michael Schumacher island in the World Dubai. According to recent reports Mr. Schumaker’s island is the first to be completely developed and the images are stunning. It is also reported that the island was a gift to the German race car driver from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. However, some keen eyed readers have pointed out to me that this island may not be Schumaker’s and more importantly Schumaker never received an island from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum My “in the know” commenter states the following

“I actually have called The World marketing office and this is not true at all! Michael Schumacher has not bought or been gifted any island. In fact the Marketing Manager of The World said he wasnt even invited.”

This has left me confused, reports of Schumaker’s island are all over the internet. So is this a case of viral misinformation or is the sales person merely mistaken. If anyone has information on this island I would love to hear so this can be cleared up once and for all.
