Where to Market your Island

Many island owners choose to market their island(s) locally/regionally, and in some regions such as
there simply isn’t enough interest. Fortunately for island owners there is the Internet. The amazing thing about the internet is it has provided prospective sellers with a revolutionary new way to market their island to an international market.
Nonetheless, the question many owners have is where do I market my island in order to optimize my international exposure. The short answer is you want to market your island on an international real estate website. When deciding to do this there are several avenues you can take. Some owners decide to advertise on luxury websites such as “Luxury Real Estate.” Sites like this one are great for providing international exposure to a large audience. However, it’s not without its pitfalls. Unfortunately these luxury websites are directed at a very small elite upper class who may or may not be interested in private islands. Therefore you are loosing out on potential buyers from all socio economic spheres. Furthermore, these websites are not targeted to people who are interested in islands therefore the chances of selling
your island are even further diminished.
Fortunately there is an alternative to luxury real estate sites. Websites like Private Islands Online and
