Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are NOT Buying a Private Island

I have probably received half a dozen e-mails inquiring whether or not Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were really buying the island of Ethiopia in “The World” Dubai, and although I have received tons of Google alerts from blogs publishing this story, something tells me that it’s completely made up.
It turns out that my suspicions are correct, Brad’s rep has released a statement saying that the rumors are completely false and that they have not purchased an island in Dubai.
Brad and Angelina are not the first celebrities to be falsely associated with the purchase of an island in Dubai. Other celebrities incorrectly reported to have purchased an island include David Beckham, Richard Branson, Pamela Anderson and Michael Schumaker.
Something tells me someone is doing some creative marketing to keep the spotlight on this island development project.
