The discovery channel has to be my favorite television channel, the shows are always great and sometimes they even feature islands! In addition, their online “Discovery Store” is filled with interesting, unique and creative products. I was browsing there products the other day (looking for Christmas gifts for the family!) and came across an ideal product for the island owner. The discovery Wrist Watch Walkie-Talkie Set is essentially a walkie-talkie and a wrist watch all in one. The set of two features an LCD display, talk button and ear piece. There is no information on the communication range of the system but it looks ideal for smaller islands. Communication on islands can be challenging and this looks like an affordable and efficient way to keep in touch while exploring your property.
