French Polynesia for the Holidays
By Islomaniac | December 14, 2007
I love spending the holidays with my family here in Michigan, and I couldn’t imagine a Christmas without snow. However, if I was to escape the cold weather for the holidays I would likely flee to a tropical private island somewhere. An island I have had my eyes on for a while is Vahine Island in French Polynesia.
Vahine Island also known as Motu Tu Vahine (Island of Woman) is only 10 acres in size. The hotel Vahine is designed
to make your stay an unforgettable one. With just nine bungalows constructed out of traditional building materials the bungalows are set amongst white sand beaches, magnificent coconut groves and a coral garden.
Guests can stay on the island for just 436 Euros a week, which I think is an exceptional price for a fully functional private island resort. I have been to Polynesia before and it is truly a remarkable place. If you ever have the opportunity I would definately exploring this area of the world.
