Eco-Friendly Island Illumination

Whenever I find a great product that has the potential to make island living more comfortable I like to feature it. In my opinion there is no better way to profile your island than by gently illuminating it in the evening. There are several problems with doing this. Many lanterns or lighting systems are inefficient and use a lot of energy. In addition the lamps are often “cold” in the sense that they harshly illuminate your property.
I recently came across a product that 
overcomes these obstacles. The Luau Portable Lantern is a stylish, energy efficient and portable lantern that is ideal for evening island illumination and entertaining. The lamp is completely rechargeable and its LED light will glow for six to ten hours between charges. In addition the light is lightweight, portable and comes with a switch to control the degree of illumination.
