Private Island Style Spa in Brazil

I will confess the resort itself (located in Ponta dos Ganchos) is located on the mainland. However, its location on a peninsula combined with its private island vistas provides an adequate approximation of the private island experience.
The resort is composed of just 20 villas all of which feature ocean views, which is rare in an age when many resorts sacrifice nature for buildings and tennis courts.
What makes this resort special is its Christian Dior inspired spa treatments. 
Situated in three tents at the tip of the peninsula the spa treatments feature views of the sunset, ocean and surrounding private islands. Specialties include hot stone therapies and oil-based ayurvedic massages.
Like all really good things in life a stay doesn’t come cheap with accommodations setting you back between about $600 and $1,200/night. Spa treatments start at about $120 for 50 minutes.
