Christmas Island

I have been waiting all year to do a post on Christmas Island, because doing a post on this island in July just didn’t seem appropriate.

Christmas Island is a small territory of Australia located in the Indian Ocean 2,600 km northwest of Perth. The island is home to just 1,600 residents who live mainly on the northern tip of the island. The island is famous for its unique topography and diverse species of flora and fauna of which are of enormous interest to scientists.

There is tons of information on Christmas Island on Wikipedia. I would report more about the island but I am off to cook Christmas Dinner for the family.
