In addition to providing 25-30 minutes of talk time per charge, the device also includes a wind-up flashlight which can provide power in the event of a power outage.
I think this device is ideal for island living as it helps ensure you will always have light and the ability to make a call. I think I am going to pick one up. I have no trouble with electricity here but it would be nice to have this device as a back up.
