Eddie Murphy Marries on Private Island

Celebrities have always been fans of private islands, but its seems lately they have been going absolutely wild for private islands. On New Years Day Eddie Murphy and finance Tracey Edmonds married on a private island off of Bora Bora in French Polynesia. This is the third celebrity private island in as many weeks with google founder Larry Page and actor Jimmy Fallon both marrying their respective partners on Richard Branson’s Necker Island over the last couple of weeks.
Although the name of the island Murphy married on has not been disclosed it is reported that the wedding took place in a gazebo on the beach with 25 guests in attendance.
I think its fantastic that so may celebrities are choosing to marry on private islands. Private islands are ideal spots for weddings, as they are romantic, luxurious, private and can be tailored to fit the couple’s needs. Hopefully this trend will translate into a greater interest in private island weddings among the general population.
