Eddie Murphy’s Private Island

By Islomaniac | January 4, 2008

Rooster CayYesterday I reported that Eddie Murphy married on a private island in French Polynesia off the coast of Bora Bora.  What I neglected to mention was that Murphy also owns a Private Island

Murphy owns Rooster Cay, also known as Long Cay, a pristine 15 acre island just five minutes away from Nassau Bahamas.  Before being sold to Murphy the island was developed to be a resort offering casual cabanas with panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding private islands

As far as I know Murphy only bought the island a year or so ago, so there is no word on what he plans to do with the property.  It is possible that he could turn it into a private island resort as other celebrities have done.  However, I suspect that Rooster Cay will be redeveloped to function as a private retreat for Murphy and his new wife
