Own a Private Island Business in Finland

RonngrundThe private islands of Northern Europe are often neglected, which is a shame considering that many are quite beautiful and are often adorned with beautiful homes.  Ronngrund Island is Finland is one such island.  The 7.5 acre island offers an elegant, yet comfortable residence.  Located just 2 miles from Helsinki and just 1 mile from the exclusive Espoo Westend coast the island is ideal for use as a corporate retreat or unique business venture.  

The residence which is decorated with Italian furnishings features a 1630 sq ft restaurant and seats 35 guests.  Three waterfront gazebos offer views of the Baltic Sea and the neighboring islands. The restaurant already has all necessary licenses. 

The home, which is connected to the restaurant, features two living rooms, a large kitchen, two bedrooms, and a sauna.  Water is supplied to the island directly from the mainland ensuring a continuous supply of fresh water.  In addition, the water around the island is deep enough to dock even large boats. 

This island is really quite remarkable.  It’s a rare opportunity to own a private island and run a successful business.  Although there are other private islands for sale that are suitable for resort development, this is the only island that I know of that has a fully functioning business on it and is just minutes from a large metropolitan area.  In short you can have the private island experience, but you can also run a business.
