New Resort to Span Three Private Islands
By Islomaniac | January 14, 2008
After 6 years of development, on June 1, 2008 the Four Seasons is set to open their newest resort in the South Pacific. The Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is set to change the landscape of the tourism market in French Polynesia. The resort consists of 100 over water bungalows, seven beach front villas and a wide array of other five star facilities.
The over-water suites include a roll-out bed in the living room, meaning that all bungalows can be turned into family residences. The beachside villas are perfect for groups of families travelling together, or even the odd multi-generational ‘reunion’ holiday.
What makes the resort great and unique to this area is that the resort offers an excellent kids program. Two separate facilities for children are located on the property, with a dedicated ‘Kids For All Seasons’ kids club building for those aged 2-13, as well as a separate ‘Teens Island’ for teenagers which include their own private beach, youth center, ice cream parlour and juice bar. This is a great feature as many private island resorts are often not kid friendly.
Transport into Bora Bora is via a flight from Tahiti, where direct international services connect the destination from cities including Sydney, Auckland, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Osaka.
