Island Docks and Launches
By Islomaniac | February 4, 2008
When deciding to move to a private island there are many things to take into consideration, shelter, electricity, water, transportation, and the list goes. Although these tasks can sometimes seem cumbersome many island owners (myself included) would argue that the continual process of developing an island is what makes island living a never ending adventure.
One of the projects many island owners take on soon after moving to their new island is. developing their boating infrastructure. Developing boating infrastructure includes building docks, shelters and launches. Taking on this type of construction is an excellent way to ensure easy and quick access to the mainland, something that can be important when living on an island.
The main disadvantage of taking on these projects is that they can be both time consuming and expensive. However, with recent developments in technology a wider array of products are becoming available that are easier to install, more affordable, more effective and in some cases even more environmentally friendly.
