Island Caretaking Resource
By Islomaniac | February 21, 2008
I am continually getting requests from people who are looking to serve as caretakers on private islands. Although it’s a great job, it’s a tough one to get. It really is a shame that there isn’t more island caretaking positions. I can imagine it would be a great opportunity for those of you who can’t afford to buy an island, or are unsure if you want to buy one and want to try it out first.
Although these opportunities are rare, a great insider newsletter is The Caretaker Gazette. The Caretaker Gazette contains property care taking and house sitting jobs, advice, and information for property caretakers, house sitters, and landowners.
Although not exclusively dedicated to private islands, island caretaking opportunities may become available. A subscription to the Caretaker Gazette costs $29.95/yr and the newsletter is published bi-monthly. For more information visit there website visit here.
