Although many people dream of buying a private island as a place to escape from the world of work, some people buy private islands in the hopes of turning it into a place of employment.   

It is actually quite common for people interested in buying a private island to have dreams of turning it into a private island resort.  Running your own private island resort, although being a lot of work, is a great way to live on your island and make a living at the same time. 

A beautiful resort in Mexico Island in Cancunjust came on the market a few days ago.  Located near the tourist friendly Cancun, this 89 acre island features an already developed boutique resort.  The resort, which is set amongst Mexico’s Sian Káan nature preserve features environmentally friendly cabins, some of which stretch out into the surrounding waters, similar to Maldivian style accommodations.  .
