A new technology that falls into the later category is the ultrasonic bug repeller. An ultrasonic bug repeller uses high frequency sounds (beyond human hearing) to repelle fleas, spiders, insects and even mice. What also makes this product so amazing is that instead of using dangerous, environmentally damaging chemicals it uses sound waves. One of the biggest threats to the ecology of an island is the introduction of dangerous chemicals in the soil and water around the island.
