Fantastic Fiji

By Islomaniac | February 29, 2008

It seems like it has been an unusually cold winter here in the US, and from what I have heard from the news and friends around the world, it has been a particularly cold winter in many other regions as well.  Therefore to inspire warm thoughts and create a little envy towards those of you living in the worlds tropical regions I thought I would feature a couple of beautiful Fijian islands.

mavuva IslandMavuva Island

Mavuva Island is a 42 acre free-hold property, something that can be rare in Fiji.  The island is known for its incredible beaches, magnificent diving sites, and potential for development. The island is conveniently located just 23 miles from the town of Labasa and just 2.5 miles from the northern coast of Vanua Levu. This is advantageous because it increases the  infrastructure, construction materials and communication technology available to the island.  In addition the island is protected on all sides by the Great Sea Reef, which is the third largest reef system in the world.  The island is on the market for 4.5 million and apparently is only on the market for a limited time. For more information visit Private Islands Online.

Lagoon IslandLagoon Island

Elevated cliffs, sandy beaches, stunning reefs and a beautiful lagoon are all part of the beautiful Lagoon Island. The island, which is 50 acres in size is located in a rare and highly desirable location in Fiji (although the exact location has been withheld). The island which is primed for development as either a private or corporate retreat is a freehold property.  Apparently the island is located close to a mainland property which can provide infrastructure such as power and water.  The island is currently on the market for 4 million and can be purchased through Private Islands Online.

In conclusion, although Fiji’s island can be expensive, their rarity, beauty and prestige still make the among the most desirable island properties in the world.
