Croatian Island Hopping
By Islomaniac | March 11, 2008
Has the Bahamas been feeling a little too crowded? Does Fiji seem a little too far away? If you are finding yourself bored with the typical private island destinations, a new location is emerging as a top island hot spot. According to many industry insiders and publications such as the Seattle Times, Croatia is becoming a popular island hopping destination.
Croatia has been seeing a massive influx of tourists over the last couple of years, and many of them are visiting its clean, warm, beautiful and affordable Dalmatian Coast. In fact the Dalmatian Coast is becoming so popular that some are comparing it to the French Riviera. The crown jewel of the region is the walled city of Dubrovnik which is a UNESCO world heritage site. In total there are 1,185 islands in Croatia to explore which according to some is causing the Greek tourism industry to sweat.
Croatia has been on my radar for a while now. Its growing popularity with tourists no doubt will result in an increase in island prices. So if you are interested in investing in an island property I would recommend giving a careful look at Croatia. For information on the region visit The Seattle Times.
