Rare Island in Bora Bora for Sale

By Islomaniac | March 15, 2008

Motu Motue ItiI would say that many people, at the very least dream of living on a private island in Bora Bora. This dream could become a reality. One island currently on the market in Bora Bora is Motu Moute Iti. Motu Moute Iti is a one-acre secluded islet, located in the north-western part of the Bora Bora lagoon. The islet is sheltered from the two nearby islets on each side by a channel (”hoa” in Tahitian), where one can safely swim, snorkel, and discover magnificent corals and a fantastic aquatic fauna.

In front of the island is the majestic silhouette of the main island of Bora Bora, rising above a world-famous turquoise lagoon and its crystal-clear water. On the opposite side is the reef, where the ocean waves break against this natural barrier. The islet is a little piece of secluded paradise, far from the hotels, still wild, but well equipped.

On the island is a residence with several modules: three spacious bungalows consisting of a large bedroom, a bathroom, a dressing-room, and a terrace; a dining and living room with a panoramic view, an adjacent kitchen, a house consisting of two bedrooms, a TV room in a small bungalow (”fare TV” in Tahitian), and a utility closet . Hot and cold water, electricity and phone communications are available … Everything is designed so that one can live in a natural, calm and comfortable environment.

It is very rare and difficult to be fully own such an island in Bora Bora, due to local laws: most coral islets are indeed shared by several owners. This makes this island a very unique and exceptional jewel.
