A good GPS system for many island owners assists them in, finding their island, navigating the terrain of their island, and exploring the waters around their island. In addition, a portable GPS system may be especially valuable if you are island hopping in an unfamiliar area.

This do-it-all GPS unit includes all the necessary navigational tools-compass, altimeter, track log, downloadable topographical maps. In addition it has a new, highly sensitive GPS receiver that obtains satellite signals faster. It has a color display screen and a rugged, waterproof body which is crucial for rough waters or terrain. The system can run for up to 18 hours on a pair of “AA” batteries ensuring a little of exploring time.
