X-Seed 4000: Artificial Island City

If it is ever built the X-Seed 4000 as it’s called will not only be the most populated artificial island, it will also be by far the tallest sky scrapper in the world.
The X-Seed 4000 represents a utopian vision of a self-contained high-rise city. Designed to sit in Tokyo harbor, powered mainly by solar energy and resembling mount Fuji, the tower would measure 13,123 feet tall with a 6 square kilometer footprint in the harbor. It is estimated that the sky scrapper would accommodate between five hundred thousand to one million inhabitants. Given the tower’s height accommodations would need to be made to maintain light, temperature and air pressure in response to changing external weather conditions and its massive elevation.
