If the rumors are true, actor Woody Harrelson plans on spending 40 days on a private island.  However, unlike most celebrities who vacation on private islands, Harrelson is not planning on goign to a five star island resort.  Accroding to sources Harrelson plans on transporting himself to a completely desserted island.  The story gets more interesting with isniders saying that he plans to live the entire time on his island without food.  Apparently this isn’t even preperation for a film role, rather he is just doing it because he feels like it. Woody is quoted as saying:

“I know it’s going to be really hard. But can you imagine it? Eating nothing for 40 days? Swimming and surfing every day in a remote place? Where does the mind go?”

I can’t really judge the guy, I spend most of my time alone on my island, however, the difference is I eat.  My recommendation to Woody would be to give it a shot, but have a boat or chopper on stand by in case of an emergency. I would also recommend doing a trial period first, spend a week on the island with food, and see how it feels then slowly try going without food, but always stay very hydrated.
