Happy Independence Day!

It’s the 4th of July and for those of you who don’t know, today here in the US we are celebrating our independence. Having the 4th of July fall on a Friday this year is perfect, because it makes for a long weekend. My entire family is visiting this weekend and that means Amherst Island is going to be bustling with activity all weekend long.
I have been busy preparing all week for their arrival and it seems like I just finished cleaning up from fathers day which was just a couple of weeks ago. I feel so lucky that I have a family that loves coming home and spening time together. The weekend is going to be jam packed with fishing, swimming, canoeing and of course eating.
Anyway I best be off, there is lots to do to get ready and hopefully I will be able to fit in some time for a nap! Happy Fourth of July everyone wherever you are!
