Richard Branson, adventurer and founder of the Virgin Corporation is also an island owner.  Branson who owns two private islands in the British Virgin Islands is most famous for owning Necker Island the lush tropical island adorned with polynesian architecture.

The rental price for three days on the island is £104,999 which gets you the 74 acres at the seven star island and facilities that include a large infinity pool and Jacuzzi, two freshwater pools, extensive sport facilities and the ultra luxurious spa called Bali Leha.

When divided amongst you and your friends the price works out to about £3749 per person (about $8,000).  So in other words expensive but still attainable if you can get a large enough crew together.
