I started this blog out of a passion for islands, a passion that I wanted to share with the world. Honestly though, I never expected anyone to read it. I just didn’t think that there were that many people out there who were interested in islands.

Now a year and a half after starting this blog I am getting more visitors than I ever dreamed of. What this tells me is that the dream of island ownership is alive and well, and so it should be. With islands for sale as low as 200,000 island ownership is well within the reaches of the average family. What is required is a sense of adventure, and a desire to be different.

There is an allure to escaping to one’s own private island that is almost magical, and it is a feeling I wish everyone could share in. I have spent the better part of my life living on a private island, and there is no where else I could imagine spending my remaining years. So I guess what it comes down to for those of you who may be reading this post is to consider the possibilities. Consider the possibility of owning your own piece of paradise, it’s not as hard as you may think.
