I recently reported that there were rumors floating around that President Elect Barack Obama would be visiting his native Hawaii over the holidays (READ: Obama in Hawaii). The rumors were found to be true today with word that the future president will arrive in the islands tomorrow.

Obama is expected to stay in Hawaii for 10 days, said a source with knowledge of the upcoming trip. In addition to taking time off for a little R&R Obama is expected to attend a private memorial service for his late grandmother, who died just before the election.

Obama last visited Hawaii in October, to be withhis grandmother Madelyn Dunham as her health failed. He also vacationed in the islands with his family and a group of friends back in August,before the Democratic National Convention.
