Early last week Tom Cruise was snapped taking in the beaches and nightlife of Brazil while promoting his new film Valkyrie. However, Tom, Katie and Suri also got to enjoy one of the countries best features…it’s private islands!

According to the New York Post, Cruise, along with wife Katie and daughter Suri, paid a visit to the private island of famous plastic surgeon Dr. Ivo Pitanguy. Reportedly the island has its own landing strip and a menagerie of exotic animals.  

The family flew from Rio De Janeiro via helicopter to Ilha dos Porcos Grande (aka Pitanguy Island) which is located in Angra do Reis. While on the island the family enjoyed the natural aquarium, the private zoo,  and a picnic lunch.
