Many of the green gadgets I feature on this blog are still in the concept stage, and it will be years (if ever) before they find there way to islands around the world.

However, recently Samsung released their solar phone. Considered by many to be the holy grail of green gadgets the solar powered mobile phone ensures power for communication anytime anywhere.

The phone features a full solar panel on its back which can generate enough power to charge the phone, and yes it is still small enough to fit in your pocket. In addition to being a phone the device will also be a pedometer, a C02 emissions calculator and it will be made out of recycled non-toxic products.
