It has been a busy year here on Amherst Island, and it isn’t even half over. At the beginning of the year we welcomed a new islomaniac into the world, with the birth of new baby grandson! I couldn’t be more proud, and he has already been out to visit Grandpa on the island. In addition to my ever expanding family, I have been working on expanding this websitem with the launch of the new Private Islands Blog. The work consumed much of the winter, but I am very happy with the response and have been thrilled with the response from islomaniacs around the world. Now with the warm weather arriving I have decided to build a new garden shed, after a particularly nasty winter storm damaged the old structure. Therefore, I must apologize for my sparse posts as of late, but I promise as soon as construction is done, I will be back to my much more frequent posts. Stay tuned!
