Remote Florida Islands
Although Florida has some of the most beautiful islands in the world, it is rare to find one that condures images of privacy that islands in more remote areas of the world do. However, recently one journalist went on a quest discover the islands of Florida that are off the beaten path.
Susan Glaser of Clevland.com explored Cabbage Key, Useppa and Cayo Costa, close in proximity to one another but miles apart in attitude and attractions. Here is what she had to say about these islands.
Florida is home to dozens of world-famous islands, from Key West and Miami Beach to Amelia Island and Sanibel. This story is not about them. Instead, it’s a story about the hundreds of other inhabited islands that line the coast of Florida, remote and uncrowded, with few amenities and accessible only by boat.
