Perfect Island. Perfect Beach. Not So Perfect Water? Crystal Lagoons has the Perfect Solution.

The Crystal Lagoons Corporation transforms any location in the world into an idylic beach paradise by
developing unlimited sized crystal clear water lagoons, surrounded by sandy white beaches, palm trees
and mooring facilities.

In 1997, Crystal Lagoons’ Chairman and Founder, Fernando Fischmann, decided to develop a real estate
tourism project: San Alfonso del Mar, in Algarrobo-a small town on Chile’s central coast. The waters of
the Chilean coast are cold, inhospitable and dangerous (swimming is prohibited in that area), so it was
difficult to imagine how our project could be successful and different from those that already existed.

San Alfonso del Mar was the first project developed in Chile using this concept. Thanks to its 1km (1,100
yard) long lagoon, spanning 8 hectares (20 acres) with completely crystal clear waters, was awarded the
Guinness Record for the largest swimming pool in the world (2007).

Currrently, Crystal Lagoons has more than 100 projects completed worldwide and countless more in the
works.
