Dutch Docklands – the world leader in floating developments – has launched a joint venture with the Government of Maldives to develop a series of 5 lagoons in Kaafu atoll with various innovative floating properties. This project, titled “5 Lagoons” is scheduled for total completion in 2015.
The first lagoon development of this series is known as “The Ocean Flower”. Consisting in 185 beautiful floating villas arranged in the shape of a local Maldivian flower, its properties have very recently become available for purchase.
The Ocean Flower is developed with a vast and luxuriously-crafted range of amenities, including a pristine beach, fine restaurants, unique shops, a diving centre, a spa, swimming pools and a series of small private islands. The spacious oceanfront villas are fully furnished, and each come with expansive terraces and private plunges. The development is conveniently located a short boat ride away from the international airport.
Three styles of villas are available for purchase within The Ocean Flower. All villas are family homes built in traditional Maldivian architectural style, with high-vaulted ceilings, a spacious living room with an open-design kitchen, minimalist style, elegant furnishings, and earthy colour schemes. Every villa comes with WIFI, satellite television and state-of-the-art appliances.
